The Wellness industry is poised for its biggest growth in history due to the pandemic.
Even before the pandemic, the wellness industry was well and truly on its way to becoming the dominant component of the tourism industry, with growth doubling that of the tourism industry in general. The last IO years before the start of the pandemic saw wellness taking off among the affluent and health conscious.
Most activities were centred on the traditional mix of yoga, nutritious cuisines, alternative medicine, alternative diets, spas, massages, and meditation, with many taking place in wellness retreats set in exotic locales commensurate with the high prices. But it was popular and became a mainstream fad for stressed out executives for years. Toa t was until the onslaught of the pandemic in 2019.
