Sustained Brand Recognition Honoured at Landmark 10th Putra Brand Awards

The Putra Brand Awards celebrated its 10th edition with the creation of a new Hall of Fame award to recognise and honour the very best of Malaysia’s favourite brands, and the addition of a Platinum award to each award category.

The Hall of Fame award is reserved for brands that have won their respective categories for 10 successive years.

Meanwhile, the new Platinum award recognises the “Best-in-class” brands, with a maximum of one Platinum award presented in each category, superseding the previous highest Gold award.

Launched in 2010 by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents (4As) Malaysia in association with Malaysia’s Most Valuable Brands, the “money-cannotbuy” Putra Brand Awards is supported by the Malaysian Advertisers Association, the Media Specialists Association, and the Malaysian Digital Association. It is the only brand awards in the country endorsed by MATRADE.

Voted upon by consumers, the Putra Brand Awards, also known as the People’s Choice Awards, presented a total of 159 awards including 23 Platinum, 32 Gold, 38 Silver, and 55 Bronze awards across 23 categories, representing a 7.5% increase in the number of awards given out as compared to 2018.

The Platinum Awards were given to brands such as Uniqlo, Toyota, Petronas, Maybank, Heineken, Yakult, Milo, Samsung, Maxis, Taylor’s University, Golden Screen Cinemas, Gardenia, Dettol, Ikea, Top, Astro, Colgate, Panasonic, IJM Land, McDonald’s, Watsons, and Malaysia Airlines.
