Asian Property Review talks to Eric Lee, Deputy General Manager of Swhengtee Group on its upcoming expo in February which has a great line-up of programmes designed to give investors a heads-up on 2019’s prospects.
2019 promises to be an exciting year for the Malaysian property market as developers come up with more innovative schemes and offerings to deal with the prolonged slowdown. The challenging market is an opportunity for those who know where to look and one of the best places to get the latest information and special deals is the annual Swhengtee Property Expo.
Since 2016, Swhengtee Group has organised Swhengtee Property Expo which has attracted a solid track record of 50,000 visitors, says Eric Lee. “In 2019, we expect attendance to peak about 18,000 – 20,000 over a two-day period. It will be held at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre, Kuala Lumpur from 16 – 17th February.”
As it is held after Chinese New Year, the timing is perfect as this is the time investors start searching for new opportunities. “Investors are ready to move forward, hence it’s the perfect expo timing!,” Lee says.
A sneak peek at the programme revealed an exciting programme line up which includes a special Chinese New Year event for property investors, talks, forums, games, launches and lucky draws, among others. The programmes have consistently chalked up full house attendance over the last three consecutive years. In particular, the talks by property speakers, numbering about 30 which in itself is a record number for any property event, have consistently registered full attendance, with many having to stand. Since 2007, Swhengtee Group has specialised in event organising and marketing. Throughout the 11 years, it has garnered a very strong following with supporters coming from all over Malaysia and overseas.
One of the signature annual events includes the annual forecast talk by Dato Sri’ Gavin Tee, the Founder and President of Swhengtee Group. Ongoing since the last 11 years, the talk has attracted thousands of local and overseas investors. In 2018 alone, the talk has attracted over 1,300 investors, according to Lee.
The young Deputy General Manager also notes that Mid Valley has consistently proven to be the most popular venue to hold property exhibitions due to its high human traffic flow. “Research conducted by Real Estate Malaysia (REM) and Asian Property Review (APR) magazines revealed that developers, professionals and readers have verified that Mid Valley is the most popular venue to hold property exhibitions due to its central location and iconic status.”
