The Selangor State Government recently launched a special initiative to spur the economy via its one-off special initiate of RM1,000 to be given to 553 Selangor tourist guides to a total sum of RM553,000.
This is in response to the badly hit tourism industry due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The Economic Stimulus package which will be launched in two phases reflects the initiative taken by the Selangor Stare Government to revive this sector, shares Selangor Minister
Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
The event was also graced by the presence of Hee Loy Sian, Committee Chairman of the Selangor State Environment, Green Technology and Consumer Affairs.
The Economic Recovery Plan for Selangor includes a second-part voucher allocation of RM2 million that is estimated to be launched in December of 2020. This includes a comprehensive initiative involving the efforts of related tourism spheres of the industry.
