The December debut of the Michelin Guide in Malaysia promises a new era in the country’s gastronomic scene.
Malaysia’ s gastronomic scene is set to herald a new era when the first Michelin Guide debuts in December. Michelin’s famous anonymous inspectors are already on the ground in Kuala Lumpur and Penang hard at work. Who are these inspectors and where do they come from? “They come from 1 S different countries, and are employees of Michelin. All of them have prior F&B great depth of experience,” reveals Elisabeth Boucher-Anselin – Michelin Experiences Director of Communications who was in Kuala Lumpur recently for the announcement. The industry-revered Michelin Guide was first published in 1900 by French tyre company, Michelin.
