Yet, he managed to do all of this and also clinch the coveted top award with flying colours with his ingenious reinterpretation done liaising online with the China team overseas.
Held from Nov 28 to Dec 18, 2020 at the Lianhua Hill Park in Futian District, China , the incredibly talented landscape architect with the Midas touch represented the Nanshan District which is one of the 12 districts of the city of Shenzhen.

Modernising The Modern Garden

“The concept was all about modernising the Chinese garden. The concept revolved around the Chinese garden, highlighting in essence, the relationship between architecture and the garden. But, it was done in such a way that it draws upon the traditions spanning over 2,000 years ago.
“At the same time, the garden utilised repurposed modern day materials while imposing modern day materials and looks. The story revolves around the exploration of how to take a 2,000 year old tradition and try to work with that tradition to provide something modern — to around it to improvise and provide a new solution,” elaborates Inch.
