Despite being located in sought-after locations, some residential and commercial hotspots remain unpopular due to the surrounding landforms and other negative influences.
Mention Taman Desa and Pandan Indah – both located in Kuala Lumpur – and the first thing that comes to mind are the many condominiums and serviced apartments that are concentrated in the areas. Despite being popular neighbourhoods, the commercial activities there are less than vibrant while some areas in Pandan Indah have been known to be hotspots for break-ins and snatch thefts. As a result, we have seen some businesses move in and out of the area. Why is this the case? This is because of the landforms surrounding the areas.
