Our guest contributing writer Man Yee, Founder of Popcart Malaysia and POPAPARTY.com popaparty.com – her latest new online party store that was just launched has an infectious zest for life and can be seen taking snatches of time from her busy schedule to explore the less hidden parts of the world.
Our trip to Dubai was magical and totally the stuff of dreams – covering everything including a journey from the ocean to the city followed by a trip all the way to the desert.

There are so many fancy cars in Dubai to behold. As for us, we were whisked away in a Cadillac Escalade to Atlantis The Palm in style. As fate would have it, we arrived in style to a spectacular fireworks display which coincided with the Chinese New Year celebrations.

The sight of the lively bars, shops and restaurants on the island was an immediate mood lifter.
Excited at the many experiences that awaited us, we quickly checked into our hotel suite which was a sight to behold. And without wasting another moment – we decided to drop by the swanky Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen & Bar opposite the hotel to grab a bite to eat.
The amazing range of activities which we got to visit at Atlantis the Palm included The Lost Chamber Aquarium opening up to a magnificent view of the deep teeming with school of fishes of all sorts of imaginable species and colours swimming by as glimpsed from the vantage point of a transparent giant aquarium.

Dolphin Bay was another eye opener dedicated to the ocean’s magnificent creatures which are as adorable as they are friendly. There is also an aquaventure waterpark for kids to indulge in a whale of a time.
Having exhausted our time spent at the ocean, it was time to visit the desert as no trip to Dubai would be complete without experiencing this unique setting. The amazing experience of riding a camel was on the cards. This was followed by a desert safari experience brought about by a Hummer ride on the sand dunes travelling through the Al Fagaa Desert. The most magical of this experience was the breathtaking sunset view at the desert that was magical to behold.
Having experienced Dubai’s lavish island living and the desert, exploring the city was also a must!
Not only did we have the privilege to venture to the 154th level of the famed Burj Khalifa but we also got to savour evening tea at what is touted as the highest dining spot in the world. All too soon, the holiday had to come to an end. Dubai was every bit as enchanting as I had imagined it to be and more!
